SHAGHF CAFE'

Shaghf Café, where every element has been meticulously crafted to weave a narrative that seamlessly merges Arabic heritage with Canadian modernity. As the architect behind this transformative project, I immersed myself in the rich tapestry of cultural influences to design bespoke pieces that evoke a sense of warmth, elegance, and authenticity.

One of the crowning jewels of the café is the Arabic lounge, featuring a plush sofa nestled in the center of the space. Here, guests can unwind in luxurious comfort, surrounded by an ambiance of tranquility and serenity.

Rather than imposing physical barriers, the space is ingeniously divided into three distinct zones through the strategic placement of visual dividers, allowing the long rectangular layout to seamlessly transition into smaller, more intimate squares. These dividers, crafted from a delicate lattice of metal and inspired by traditional Arabic screens, serve as visual anchors that delineate each zone while preserving a sense of openness and flow.

the custom-designed counter. Inspired by the geometric patterns found in traditional Arabic architecture, the counter boasts clean lines and contemporary materials, juxtaposed with intricate motifs that pay homage to the region's storied past. Crafted from reclaimed wood and accented with brass detailing, it serves as both a functional workspace for baristas and a visual masterpiece that anchors the space.

One of the standout features of these tables is their modular design, which allows them to be easily configured and reconfigured to suit the needs of any occasion. Whether arranged as individual units for intimate gatherings or seamlessly joined together to form a communal social table.

These modular pieces offer unparalleled flexibility and adaptability, transforming the space to accommodate everything from lively group discussions to quiet moments of reflection.
